• Very first line drug for Tuberculosis.
Adverse Effects
• Peripheral Neuritis, parathesis, numbness, mental disturbances are dose-dependent toxic effects
• Hepatitis, a major adverse effect, is rare in children but more common in older people and in alcoholics
• Others - lethargy, rashes, mild anaemia and arthralgia (joint pain)
